For Employers:
Urine, Hair, Blood and Oral fluids are collected by our Certified Collection Technicians 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday. Samples are sent by national courier services allowing your organization to receive results as soon as 48-72 hours after collection, but positives may take longer as confirmatory tests will be required. Time is of the essence, especially in pre-employment and post-accident situations and we routinely expedite those samples for your convenience. If you have a large volume and would like to discuss our on-site options, call us today and we can bring the test to you.
Remember substance abuse continues to be a serious problem in the work place, costing US companies billions of dollars in accident restitution, lost productivity, rise in insurance premiums, settlements and furacious behavior. Large scale studies show that organizations with robust drug testing regimens along with well written policies and procedures have lower accident rates, less fatalities, and higher profit margins. Here are some resources to get started creating your companies Safety & Drug Testing plan:
The sweet spot for employers is often found by adding a program that gives employees options for help, encouraging them to seek treatment and allowing them to return to a safety sensitive position once certain criteria are met. Often a DOT Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) can help guide your company through best practices. Mountain Medical has a SAP and if you would like to schedule a consultation, please call our Occupational Medicine Clinic @ 541-388-7799.

Safety First: Let Mountain Medical be your partner in this endeavor, and we can help create and coordinate a first class safety program. We have a Total Solution Package: full spectrum drug and alcohol testing by certified technicians, coordination of your pre-employment, for-cause, post accident, return to duty, annual and random program, Medical Review Officer Services, and Substance Abuse Professional Consultations. This one-stop-solution is coordinated and professionally processed locally in Central Oregon.
For Employees:
Drug and Alcohol screening is performed at Mountain Medical by DOT certified technicians in a confidential setting. The ordering organization may request a urine, blood, or hair sample. Urine collections may be collected under two conditions: un-observed vs observed depending upon the circumstances and regulations. We always have a same-sex collector available for observed collections, blood samples are obtained in a clean environment by or qualified and experienced nurses, and hair is taken in the most conservative and careful manner possible.
Make sure to bring photo ID and a drug order form with you when you visit. You will also need a drug order form, known as a Chain of Custody Form. Ask your Designated Employer Representative for this form, before you arrive, if they haven’t given one to you already. If it’s a urine test, come to your appointment well hydrated in order to avoid long wait times.
Please note that you will not get results from Mountain Medical as we aren’t the ordering entity. We are simply a collection site facilitating your company’s request. Its up to the ordering entity to decide how and when to discusses results with its employees.
If the test is positive, you will hear from an MRO who will help the company interpret the results. For example, lets say you were selected for a random urine drug screen today but had a tooth pulled three days ago and were given a narcotic pain prescription. Chances are that the drug test will be positive for opiates and if the MRO can verify the prescription with your pharmacy and/or physician, the result will be reported as a negative test. If there is no legitimate reason for the presence of that particular substance, then its reported as a positive to the ordering agency.
Our on-site and off-site drug and alcohol testing saves companies time and money. We offer DOT and non-DOT testing that meets state and federal regulations. Call us today for a quote-541-388-7799.
A sign that says “Drug Testing Ahead.”
Often drug tests are ordered by a court system: local, state or federal. Again, Mountain Medical will not be privy to the results and the lab processing the sample will report the results directly to the ordering court.
